The bride's entry into an Bishnoi wedding is called Kanya Aagaman, which means "the arrival of the bride".

Bishnoi Wedding tradition calls for a Mehndi ceremony to be held the night before the wedding as a way of wishing the bride good health and prosperity as she makes her journey on to marriage.

In the Baan ceremony, the ladies on both sides 'prepare' the bride and groom (in each respective home) for the forthcoming wedding. This ritual usually happens on the day of the wedding, and in more traditional families, happens for a couple of days around the wedding time. At this ceremony, a paste made from herbs, mustard oil, fresh milk curds, henna, and turmeric on the faces, arms, and feet of the bride and the groom. All the ingredients for Baan are separately put in bowls made of clay, put together in a plate. The ingredients are applied by the means of brushes made of grass. Family members take these grass brushes, dip them in the ingredients, and apply it symbolically to their feet, knees, hands, shoulders and head seven times from bottom to top and then top to bottom. This is accompanied by some singing of folk songs.

Mehndi, otherwise known as henna, is a paste associated with positive spirits and good luck. Indian Wedding tradition calls for a Mehndi ceremony to be held the night before the wedding as a way of wishing the bride good health and prosperity as she makes her journey on to marriage

The custom is, for the Mama to bestow lavish gifts on the bride. A couple of days prior to the wedding, the mother of the bride goes to her brother's house to invite him for Bhaat, which is a simple North Indian meal consisting of rice and lentils with sugar, and gives him a formal invitation to the wedding

A baraat is one of the most exciting parts of any Indian/Pakistani wedding, and is essentially the groom's extended wedding procession. Quite literally, the word “baraat” means “a marriage procession.” The baraat is performed in most Hindu weddings, in both Indian and Pakistani cultures

The 'Padla Dastoor' is a custom followed only by us Bishnoi that may be performed a day prior to the wedding or on the actual wedding day and involves the bringing of gifts to the bride, like clothes, jewellery and other gifts from the groom, by relatives of the groom.

Samthuni is a beautiful tradition where the women from the bride's family come together to bless the groom for a prosperous future. This heartfelt gesture symbolizes unity, love, and the merging of two families. It adds a touch of warmth and tradition to the end of the wedding day, creating lasting memories.

Vidaai, also known as Bidaai, is another important marriage ceremony of the Indians. It is a form of a farewell ceremony organized by the family of the bride to officially bid farewell to their daughter as she leaves for her marital home.
